For leaders who live in Syddjurs and work in Aarhus

The day does not end when you get home

This page describes online conversations with the psychologist Frank for leaders in Syddjurs. The sessions are offered by djursland-psykologen.dk.

You leave early and come home late. Between meetings, decisions and the car or the bus there is little room for yourself, and the one quiet window is often the evening, once you are finally in your own home. This page explains how that window can be used for a fixed weekly conversation, and that the conversation can be in English.

A life on the route

1

The morning

The day is planned before you have opened the door. The calendar is full, and you have already rehearsed the difficult conversations on the way out.

2

The city

You are responsible for decisions, budgets and people. You look as though you have it under control, which is exactly why it is hard to say anything else out loud.

3

The way home

The journey home is often the only pause, and it goes on replaying the day. You are physically home, but not always fully there.

Online, in English

Many people in Syddjurs already spend a large part of the day in transit. Another drive just to talk to someone is the last thing needed, so online is the main format: you log in from home when the house has settled and save the travel time. The sessions can be held in English, online and in Mørke, and in-person evening sessions in Mørke can be arranged if you prefer to share a room.

Typical clients are leaders and directors, founders, busy professionals and international profiles who commute.

Fixed weekly evening

Sessions take place on the same evening every week, and you speak to the same psychologist throughout. Capacity is limited, so there is usually a waiting list, and no start date is promised. Signing up carries no obligation.

What you can focus on

  • Pressure that has become normal, and a tiredness that breaks do not quite cure.
  • Responsibility and decisions you carry alone because of your role.
  • The line between work and home, blurred by emails and thoughts.
  • Doubt that nobody at work gets to see.

Questions and answers

Does a session fit in when I get home late?

That is the idea. Sessions take place on a fixed weekly evening and are held online, so you log in from home and save another drive. You do not need a plan for the evening, and a short description of your everyday life is enough to begin.

Does my GP find out?

No. Your GP is not informed, and neither are the municipality, your partner or spouse, or your employer. The sessions are private, need no referral, and are covered by the psychologist's duty of confidentiality under Danish law.

Do I have to say who I work for in Aarhus?

No. You do not need to give your employer's name when you sign up.

Can my employer pay?

Yes. Many people have the invoice paid by their company or employer, and you can pay yourself. See the practical page of the main site (in Danish).
